steve_b_wales
I had to wait a week but had put the claim immediately after ebay closed the listing. Ebay then sent an email asking if I wanted to take the claim to the next level and when I responded yes they agreed my claim straight away. They did'nt do that for me, and when I explained that it's no point waiting for a reply from the seller, as he's probably long gone, they said that I should still wait until after 4th Feb, and then I can escalate my claim. Too bloody right I will!

stumpy69
Out of curiosity - was it sent recorded delivery? Yes, i had to sign for it, I was tempted to send it back to the sender but as I have already had my refund I accepted it out of curiosity. That's what I thought would happen. So they can say - 'hey, I sent it - he signed for it'. Just for a laugh, next time there is a free listing day on ebay, list this coin and see what you can get ;-)
steve_b_wales
Well, I've just received a 1935 Crown. It came in a small carboard packet which was put through my letterbox. No senders address or any other details on the package, and nothing to sign. I am still pursuing my claim for a refund from Paypal/Ebay, and have to wait until Monday to escalate my claim. I got 1871 silver dollar but have to wait til next Thurs before I can further my claim. As it was Ebay who removed the listing, and Ebay who emailed me to say about the seller being removed, I am going to insist that I get all of my money back. I'm annoyed that I have to wait, while others have already received theirs.

steve_b_wales
Just tried the one i got with a magnet, guess what it's a fake to. I have'nt tried mine yet to see if it's a fake. It does look genuine and has some weight to it. I'll have a closer look when I get home off night shift in the morning.

I'll have a closer look when I get home off night shift in the morning. I googled the year and type of the coin. Got a list of common fake pointers. But the surefire was that its about 10g lighter than it should be. Its a copper coin with electroplated silver (apparently!) But even the fake has age to it. It was made in the early 20th century (apparently) Anybody want to buy one? I'll do it for a tenner!!!!!

Big Al
You all really didn't expect to get a silver coin worth thousands of pounds did you? Life without hope would be pretty depressing! woodcock1
Full refund issued today. I assume ebay/paypal covers this cost and the seller gets to keep the money from the sales? I suppose they will be "investigated".
