russdy
I was just after peoples opinions on the ranger. Ive been looking at all sorts of 4x4 recently and and now im tempted by the rangers. Seems u get alot of car for the money compared to the the hilux that serms to be a couple of grand more expensive. Anything good or bad would be great cheers.
pontbeck
New or used ? I've got a 5 year old one that I've had from new and it's been great My mate has just bought a new one, looks the part and he's pleased so far but only 2000 miles travelled. He traded in the old model with 100,000 trouble free miles on the clock
White Lodge
I have an 04 XLT and I love it. Drives like car, loads of room in side and in the load bay. Great views, nice and high, drives like a car, not so good on mileage about 35mpg. Does 70/80 on motorways or potter along at 55. Pulls like the proverbial train. Buy one you know you want to. 12borejimbo
I've got one with 192,000 on the clock, it is an absolutely brilliant truck, pulls well, only downside is it's quite juicy!

bennyblanco
'07 plate with 70'000 on it, 30-31mpg as long as I don't drift it too much. You get a lot of truck for the money and hear of very few faults, the 16v '07 onwards are a lot nicer to drive than the older models and mine is doing 2300rpm at 70mph where as the earlier models that I drove were revving much harder. phil moss
If you want economy, dont buy a 4x4, if you want a good work horse, buy a ranger !!! Ive had a Hi-lux, 2 L200'S, a Navara & on my second Ranger (both super cabs)......they just suit my needs !!!
