kent
how much will cost SAK for .22 hornet not suitable unless your on reduced loads, never developed for .22 cf pressure- potentially dangerous

njc110381
Who in their right mind at 68 years of age with a slightly dicky ticker is going to sell a rifle that still permits the owner to shoot three five round groups one after the other for an average of 0.512" - the best being 0.350" - at 90 yards? I'd say a 68 year old with another hornet that's just as good may as well consider it! Top up the pension and all that!
wymberley
Top up the pension and all that! Nah, there's a nice Jag I've spotted. If Sportarm pulled their finger out and sold the sbs it would be parked in my drive!

Amazed
Nah, there's a nice Jag I've spotted. If Sportarm pulled their finger out and sold the sbs it would be parked in my drive! Anyone think its convenient that all the 22 hornets have gone AWOL on the arrival of the savage 17 hornet ?
njc110381
They're totally different animals. I've rebarrelled mine because it was shot out and I fancied a change. Wymberley is selling his because he's got two and he wants to buy a car. There's certainly nothing wrong with the .22H - I've been S******** bricks for months wondering if I've made the right decision going for a .17. I still don't know the answer to that question yet, but the .22 is going to take some beating!
Underdog
Yes but sound mod will reduce recoil and will be bit better for lifestock in area. What recoil Livestock! it still gonna crack friend! U.
njc110381
They do crack a bit, but a mod makes quite a difference. They make quite a boom for the size of the cartridge.
Underdog
They do crack a bit, but a mod makes quite a difference. They make quite a boom for the size of the cartridge. Stand a hundred yards or so away, not as bad as you think. Horses around me don't jump, cows don't stampede. Chickens peck at my feet as I shoot. They are use to it. No worse than thunder! The more people are shielded from bangs in the country the worse they will react when they see you! Just my opinion, no need for any one jump on my head U. alendil
i have no problem at the moment with my hmr at noise level. and .22 hornet is not much more but with sound mod all they hear is sonic crack which is dis orienteering them and they don't pay much attention to that. kent
Hornet in .22 is the quietest c/f rifle of that there is no question and a primary reason I bought one at first
njc110381
I'd be interested to hear how you cleaned the brass. My old 7x57 combi gun brass looks very tired and I've only fired it once!

nicholiath
not suitable unless your on reduced loads, never developed for .22 cf pressure- potentially dangerous sake manufacturers originally listed the mod as suitable for rimfire and hornet. Luckyshot
Confusing title but clearly states 22 hornet.
Amazed
From what I have read the only problem people have had is them blocking up after 150 or so shots a good soak overnight and a clean and your back up and running. Thanks lucky shot for the info
alendil
Yes that is good info worth about 130 gbp in the pocket.
