JustJon
Hi all, Strange question... moving into my own place in a couple of weeks and want a new sofa. I don't want to go down the DFS route of a 12 weeks wait (need to move in and measure up before I buy - it's a small'ish cottage type place). So, is there anyone/anywhere that has a decent choice but the wait's 1-2 weeks rather than 12!?! Any help appreciated :-( Got to do the washing machine, bed, kitchen stuff etc etc as well but will either do that in person (Argos) or online with next day delivery :-) It's the sofa that worries me and don't fancy sitting on the floor for 3 months!?! Thanks, Jon

Muddy Funker
I was in this position a couple of years ago and to be fair it was a bit of a ball ache. I ended up going down the DFS route but I got hold of one of those massive 6 foot beanbags second hand and made do with that for a couple of months. At the time it was only me so it was no bother, it was actually really comfy, I then sold it for the same price as I paid for it when the sofas came

JustJon
Thanks all - I lost track of this one and just seen it! I opted for Ikea in the end - going there tomorrow to see if I can squeeze a sofa in the back of my Mazda or whether I need to get it delivered! And then argos... and tesco... and all the other fun places you go when you move house and have nothing in!

pimpkiller
Ikea sofas come in parts that you put together, they can fit through any doorway, very handy if you have one of them skinny 3 storey houses
