Fantastic, have been taking my 6yr old daughter to the clay ground, also had her measured up for a 410 U&O she needs to grow a bit more but bless her shes busting to get out and try it, i take her fishing etc and she loves the lot, shes not squeamish and loves the outdoors and keeps asking me to take her the next time i go decoying.

Proud dad... you bet yer **s

Had the little one out at the weekend to try and get him interested and I think the smile tells me he enjoyed it.. Think the next step is an air rifle or

small shotty!!!!

There is one happy lad, time with his dad and learning about the great outdoors, bet you felt happy too at the end of the day ! :)

Excellent Daz !! I read recently in an outdoor mag that when kids are started young they inevitably come back to it even if they quit for a while when they find the opposite sex more interesting. My son upon reaching his late 20s rediscovered shooting and field sports and I am enjoying his company as much as when he was 10.

I started off shooting at a pattern plate off of my Dads shoulder when I was 3, then myself with a Webely and Scott bolt action .410! Im not 15 shoot a Wessex O/U; a Hatsan semi-auto and sometimes my Dad's Beretta 682 Gold, got to be said that it is a very fun sport! Can't imagine me stopping! Good to another one coming into the sport :good:

My lads almost 7 and I took him out with a cut-down .410 single that I have for the first time yesterday. Stood a few clays in the grass on the slope of a wide ditch and let him break a few. The gun is still a bit big for him but I was impressed by his confidence.

All he wanted to do was get stuck into the crows that were tucking into the muck that had just been spread the day before.
