well you could get there for around 730 8 ish, look for fresh tumps, stand over them with shotty, if they move ,shoot it.if they dont, buy a couple of traps from theflatpack.co.uk, tunnel traps are pukka, dig out tunnel, set trap and put in run, cover tidy with loose soil so no light gets through and check daily . easy when you get into it. dont bother with cheap traps they not worth the effort .wear rubber gloves to keep hands clean whilst digging with hands.not essential as some will have you think, ive caught hundreds without gloves and handled traps regular without gloves, just keeps you clean.

Ive caught hundreds using standard spring crossover traps, just carefully scrape away the mole hill to expose the hole, by digging with a trowel follow the hole down until you find the tunnel, normally comes in one side and out the other, cut a square or soil out in the tunnel line, make sure you remove all loose soil from the tunnel openings, set the trap and gently place in the hole once again inline with the holes, now cut a small amount of turf and place around the trap handles blocking out all the light but not interfering with the closing action, leave for 24 hours , go to it regularly to check, when the handles are spread apart the trap has been activated, lift out, dispose of mole and reset as before, it only take a few moles to make a hell of a lot of hills, keep trapping and flattening hills until they stop appearing , job done. best mole killers are poisoned worms dropped into open holes or broken shards of glass or bits of razor wire pushed into holes, moles are hemophiliacs, blood does not clot so even a small cut will result in them bleeding to death, another very effective trap I used in france was a small explosive charge laid on the tunnel floor triggered by a small plate set at head height for the mole, as the mole pushed through under the plate it triggered a detonator which basically blew the mole up, hell of a laugh watching them explode while sitting on the patio drinking wine, I used to get paid to clear peoples lawns. money for old rope as they say.

Cheers lads info much appreciated! Never knew that there blood does not clot! Very odd then again they are a pretty odd creature! this is a new permision that i got today, i shoot on all the surrounding farms including a family members so thought id ask this guy ! farmer has lots and lots of ground full of pigeons ect plus its not been shot for 20odd year apparently! So in return for catching moles he will give me the run of the place :-D! So im keen to get trapping!

This members offer would be ideal for you - best to be instructed by someone who know's what they are doing. I know myself as I was a full time mole, rabbit & fox clearance officer way back in the 70's and was trained by the Ministry of Agriculture.
