Started working at Nissan as a welder (been there 5yrs) and now know what good crack is. Don't like factory as hate being cooked up but the laugh with the lads help. Lucky for me there's now floppy fringes working with me so it helps. My only experience of a mine was at beamish and god knows how people spent there time down in the dirt Edited March 19, 2013 by IXI KARL IXI

flynny
The world is now full of gaylords and poofters who want to be warm and cosy and use remote controls for everything, there idea of a day out is a trip to the trafford centre to get groomed the poofters, Even the craic on building sites is rubbish now due to the PC brigade, I'm off now to slaughter a cow and then cook me a steak on a fire in the woods, GRRRRRRRRRR ATB Flynny. Pheasant Feeder
I've been working since I left school 20 odd years ago and the changes in the workplace are beyond belief. The banter when I was an apprentice was tremendous, but now its all PC this PC that, I keep reminding everybody that in a PC workplace everybody is miserable, in an non PC workplace only one person is miserable, but doesn't mind because he knows it'll be somebody else tomorrow But I think your right most of the young lads I see are as weak as a junior disprol with no work ethic. UKPoacher
My Dad was a miner (Grimey and Gt Houghton) and it killed him, eventually. Before I came over to France I used to beat with a load of ex-colliers from the Worsbrough area. Smashing lads all of them. One always said that he would go back to the pit tomorrow. If only to catch up on his sleep. Edited March 20, 2013 by UKPoacher
