OvEr_KiLL
also if it has extended chokes or not, newer ones have the extended just go for one with the bolt release on the bottom as already said and extended chokes and you will be fine Edited March 25, 2013 by OvEr_KiLL

steve_b_wales
The very first models were not good at all. Mine was purchased approx 4 years ago (FAC model) and I have'nt had any trouble with it jamming etc, and I don't hardly clean it. As long as you put 70mm (2-3/4) cartridges through it, it will be okay.
colin lad
i had both at one stage but kept the mk2 only because i preferred the easy loading of the mk2 both were reliable so long as they kept clean colin
jam1e
Cheers fellas, Did Hatsan alter the mk1 at any point to improve the jamming issues?

SSS
I've got the newest one with the quick load system and extended chokes and it cycles everything. 65, 67.5 or 70mm. It jammed once when I put a dodgy, damp old cartridge through it.
bigmanuk
I bought one just over 12 months ago; is a Mk2 with the quick load system. Didnt come with extended chokes through, just standard flush ones. I had to wait a while for a left handed model to come from factory, but worth it. Mine has never jammed, I have tried all sorts of cartridges in it. Even tried 21gram 65mm fibre carts to see what happened and it cycled them all no problem. People knock these guns, but they are a solid workhorse and great value. I have a few guns ranging from expensive brownings down to my cheap hatsan and i always seem to end up choosing the browning for pigeon shooting and such like. joecash
bought a luxano with case and 2 barrels for £399 last year - i've put over 10,000 shells thro mine in the past year - the odd misload - but no more than any other Edited March 26, 2013 by joecash

joecash
just to update - after first year had to get it fixed under warranty approx 12,000 shells thro it 6 weeks ago had to get it fixed under warranty again (total rebuild) circa 20,000 shell point traded in against a 3 year old miroku. Cost of ownership £99!! Would I buy another? No, but at the time was a good deal for a new gun for someone new to shotguns who didnt know very much. Now i know enough to join all the other 2 year experienced experts and be a danger to anyone who listens to us!
