leeds chimp
I actually managed to get the good ole Grand Vit stuck...not just a little bit but completely stuck....down to the axles and subframe and not going anywhere at all... Pulled onto the field and went down the edge...all was fine....stopped to take a shot..then set off again and did not have it in 4wd....put it in 4wd but the rot was in...front tyres had dug in and just went deeper....till it was sitting on the shaft.... Call to a good mate who has a Mit Paj shooting truck....he came and said how did i get that far to start with ....was going to try and tow me out but got to 30 yards and nearly got stuck himself...so gave up....tried jacking up and putting tyre gates under but no luck...after nearly 2 hours gave up and was thinking humble pie with the farmer in the morning.... Got home and loaded the pics onto facebook and then remember a mate who has a kitted out surf ...dropped him a message and out he came...20 mins all done....towed out...on the second attempt as he nearly got stuck aswell

leeds chimp
I was gutted when I got mine stuck but once its bottomed out your not going anywhere lol kinda worked that part out  as once it was down to the axle and bottomed the wheels just span....the earth is a very heavy clay so just clogged the grip up and no chance should have bought a 4x4 proper landy the only time I have to jack the car up is trying to get it out of mud....not on the drive to fix something :whistling:
four-wheel-drive
The problem with boggy fields even tractors can get boged down in deep mud as has been said you could do with some better tyres not that it would have helped you much in those conditions the only thing that would have helped is a winch and a tree. al4x
About the only thing to remember is give up sooner rather than later, keep spinning and all you do is dig a bigger hole and make it harder to get out.

Gilberts1989
Ah that's pretty funny, AT are **** in mud! They are more for snow, ice, sand and normal Tarmac. You want a set of mud tyres, something with a more open tread bock so that the tyre tread doesn't clog up. Since fitting my insa turbos special track tyres a year ago I haven't been stuck once and I have been through some bogging conditions due to all the flooding on the fields. I do how ever have a landy, not a hair dresser 4x4

Gilberts1989
Funny enough I had mine on a ramp today. I don't know how it is still going, I have 6 hole in my exhaust, a log jammed between the exhaust and fuel tank, a wheel bearing that has collapsed and the rear prop is about to fall off. I didn't even notice any of the symptoms and only had it on the ramp to do a service before the mot
