Anyone know what I can do with shot pigeons.Ive been out twice in the last few days and shot 65 birds.Ive heard of people who buy frozen birds.Does anyone know these people

Try your friends and neighbours and then local pubs.

It would be good to hear posts of your outings, where you were, the crop you were shooting over etc. Have you put something up recently?

Might be worth telling us where you are located and someone may be able to provide a local contact. The game dealer I use in Norfolk will take frozen birds with no issues.

Don't forget the ludicrous legislation that requires the seller to have the certificate mentioned below if selling to a game dealer (who you might be forgiven for thinking might be able to tell a good bird from a bad one) but can give them to friends, (who might well be less likely to be a le to tell the difference) without the certificate. Sound back to front? Well that is how it is.

From the BASC website:

A Lantra Award Level 2 “Wild Game Meat Hygiene” certificate is required to sell pigeons to an Approved Game Handling Establishment. Contact BASC Shooting Standards department 01244 573018 for further details.

Rubbish, game dealers don't ask for certificates before taking pigeons off you.
