FOXHUNTER1
I was speaking to a mate of mine the other day who has packed in shooting and he asked if I could go and shoot a fox for him............OK I said reluctantly His father in law had phoned him to say that he witnessed a fox attacking his pet terrier in the farmyard and wanted it shooting. So last night saw me and Grasshopper out for a scout with his Archer NV. After being out for about and hour and a half and seeing nothing we decided to have a call with the Foxpro using the hare call. About a minute in to the call a fox was racing in from a good distance away but unfortunately never showed for a shot , I think it must have winded us By now we were knackered and putting the gear away in the motor when a fox barked. We looked at each other and agreed where the fox was barking and so jumped in the motor and drove to the intended field. On parking up the fox barked again at about only 60 yards away..... as Grasshopper got his rifle sorted he passed me the Archer to see what the fox was doing. I watched it walking across the field now around 100 yards away .................Grasshopper attached the Archer , I gave a little mouth squeak and the satisfying thump came back RESULT If only charlie had kept his mouth shut he would have lived to see another day. He was a black bellied specimen ... a first for Grasshopper I think so a good night all in all

grasshopper
I watched Mark go to fetch the Fox through the NV and there was a Hare about 40yds further into the field sitting bolt upright watching him.I scanned the fields around (just in case the Fox barks were attracting another) whilst Mark was returning and but seeing nothing i looked towards Mark to see the Hare had actually followed him across the field for 120yds finally stopping some 40yds away... have asked him what aftershave he uses but he's refusing to tell
