Paddy Galore!
bloody hell my purdy roller pole has just broke! the screw head has sheared in half, pee poor casting as i can see the metal grain has large granular lumps where it's snapped, that means the metal wasn't modified during the melting/casting process. just sent purdy an email about it, does anyone know what their customer service is like? that pole weren't cheap i've had to resort to the B&Q pole that cost me a tenner nearly 20 years ago  which funnily enough has had some serious abuse but still works fine, if a little gritty from all the masonry and floor paint.
