And where was the south's captain...,,,,

At the shoot, like you were, doing my bit to support a very worthwhile Charity. :yes:

I think I left my brain somewhere on the M1, as it was a below par performance for me, but I'm certainly not one to brag about my score, it doesn't matter at an event like this, it's just a fun day out with a bunch of like minded people. :good:

Indeed, it was a very enjoyable day out with some great friendly banter, but most importantly everybody put their hand in their pockets and a lot of money was raised for a good cause. Everybody was a winner on Saturday. :good:

It was definitely a fun day and I enjoyed it immensely, especially meeting PW members who had received PMs from me. :whistling:

I certainly appreciated Tam's comments and they were very helpful.

All I have to do now is get a haggis, work out what "neeps" are and find a place where the sun doesn't shine. :lol:

One thing I think we should try at future Charity Days is to have special categories.

Some suggestions are;

"I don't shoot clays".

"I don't like flat layouts".

"I don't like loopers and batteaux".

As the youngsters and ladies obviously don't need any help, they don't merit a special category.

I went away from the shoot thinking I need lots of practice on loopers and battue's I was partucularly glad that there where no hills though given the weather.

Just a quick update: With most of the monies now raised and counted, the total for this year currently stands comfortably in excess of £4,250. A breakdown for what looks to be the final figure is available here.

If anyone wants to do a write up or post some pictures - particularly if they feature your wife wearing charity shoot apparel - then I'll be more than happy to look at adding them to the website. We are also looking at ways for the website to be used as a permanent record for both the shoot, and the money raised for the various charities by the Pigeon Watch community over the years. Any and all suggestions as to how this can best be done will be gratefully received.
