fruity
A bit of copper grease on the back of the pads usually shuts the squeak up
mad1
Or fitting a amp to the stereo helps !!
Mike737
A bit of copper grease on the back of the pads usually shuts the squeak up Or you can get some stick-on rubber backings from motor accessory shops. Oh, and make sure the pads can slide in the callipers as well. Mike
00buck
some times its the make of pads you fitted
Dead Eye Dunc
Copper grease is the way forward. All over the back (not the braking surface) of the pad including the 'hooks' that run along the calliper.

fruity
strange copper grease usually stops it, perhaps you have a sticky caliper or something that is not fully retracting hence a bit of break squeal, or maybe were the pad hangs on the caliper
bobt
try deglazing the pads and discs with emery paper.
goldypurple
check there isnt a small stone or bit of grit trapped somewhere that can produce noisey brakes
decoy1979
You should be thankful you have a disco that runs On a more constructive note are the pads free to run in the caliper slots?, I'd run a file over them if you haven't done so already to remove any rust/debris to ensure they aren't binding. caeser
Are they new pads ? If so were they cheap ones ? Some cheap ones will squeal no matter what you do.

pigeon controller
Did you deglaze the discs ? Plenty of copper slip on back if pads? Try some hard braking to bed them in? I've done 135K in my Disco and fitted pads and discs no noise .
Mike737
You could also try filing a small chamfer on the leading edge of the pads. edit to change font size. Edited July 19, 2013 by Mike737
