I treat everyone I meet the same regardless of race ,colour ,creed sexual persuasion,it is only later after I have known you for a while do I form an opinion of you.

But you seem to have made your mind up that being gay is not "normal" and in one comment criticised a proportion of society because they do not meet your criteria for normal.take your blinkers off.

If my son or daughter turns gay I wouldn't be over the moon but when they were born I held them in my arms and told them i will always be their for them and protect them from hurt so I will stand by their decisions in life as its to short .

The next thing .... its ok for priests to have sex with young boys and cover it up ??? Let them eat cake :)

As long as the vicar doesn't mind then I don't .

I'm none religous but do think the church is a special place as I've been many funerals including my sisters at 19 so as said Lifes to short just leave them to it .

The comment on dogs marrying next ??? That's an animal and gays are human like us

A bit tongue in cheek, but why is ok to take the **** out of a red head and not someone who is gay or black for example. None have the choice, it's how they were born.

Yes, I am a red head, well when I had some that is.

That's done It !! ...... Leave us Ginger nuts out of this.

people being "fags" or "poofs" is not a legitimate argument. Animals cannot give consent (Is this seriously an argument?). and churches are not being forced to do gay marriages, they have to opt in (except CoE which is banned from doing them by law as "protection" because they threw a hissy fit).

Once again, not a single legitimate argument against gay marriage.

I don't mind what they do tbh. BUT I don't think they should have "extra special" events. Like gay pride for example where they march around dressed in god knows what. I also don't think people should be classified as homophobic if they don't like their ways. If they do some form of criminal act against them yes but merely voicing their opinion then no. I don't particularly like spam, am I spamomophobic? Maybe but it doesn't mean I'm going to buy a load and toss it in a mincer, it also doesn't carry the criminal/social stigma.

thats probably what the gay people are saying about those against it., personally speaking if your not planing a gay marriage why waste time worrying about it, let em all get on with it what does it really change anyway.

Some people argue that it devalues their own marriage. I'm not exactly sure how - but that's their argument.

I have no issue with the marriage idea, but if this is in the name of equality, surely heterosexuals should be allowed civil ceremonies.

You mean a civil partnership? I suppose yes - I would have thought that civil partnership legislation would fall away now that there are full marriage rights.

I think it is all down to how you are brought up when I was young lots of things was looked down on that most young people today just except as I see it if people are gay for the most part they have no control over that we are all different I think as long as people live there life and do not heart others then what they do is up to them.

Having said that the thing that I do not get is if you have a civil partnership then you are partners in a relationship that is fine.

But if you are married then you are husband and wife not husband and husband or wife and wife.

i wouldnt who am i to decide whom my daughter decides to marry, if she turned out to be gay so be it that would be the way it is.. wouldnt care who liked or lumped it either.

My view too, it used to worry me but my love for my daughter is unconditional. As a shooting friend who is as masculine as they come said " You have no choice over which way the switch gets flicked.

I will always state that I don't understand it myself and do not think it's normal but who am I to judge.
