popped out to local permission at lunchtime today as they had been harvesting barley this week. wasn't expecting too much as very few birds had got onto the stubbles as yet. when i arrived the the straw had been baled which was a bonus as a few bales rolled together made a decent hide. i took just 4 birds out of the freezer and used a plastic crow deek aswell. after an hour i had ten birds in the bag and was considering going home then something changed and the birds switched on. i had a few left and rights and took some good crossing shots. the westerley wind was perfect today and if i new sport would be so good i would of started earlier.

i used the magnet for first couple of hours then brought it in and the pigeons came in just as good.

i finished up with around 70 birds shot including a couple of rooks a ferral and a collared dove.

i picked 64 of the birds including one unusal marked woodie. theres only fifty odd woodies in the main picture as i picked another 9 birds after pack up.
