Only live one I know of is Collings in King's Lynn or Holts in London, Lynn is a blamed site closer than London, think the Collings one is at the end of next month!

There you go sire! From just over the border in the flatlands....

I have been to a few of collings auctions over the years and have never seen much more that a load of old tat ! , I dare say there must be one or two exceptions though.

You will get a better gun on here, most owners will be able to give you the history of the gun as most get sold on to other PW members.

Buying at auction is full of risk unless it is very cheap, why not ask on here for what you want or try Wabbitbosher for a real bargain with a warrany.

Just remember most Dealers sell the rubbish at auctions to avoid comeback

Not trying to put you off

If i buy a rubbish Rifle at auction i repair it or cut it up , no hassle with applying for a one for one

I'm an RFD thats what i do

Unless you go to a quality auction and pay serious money, I can tell you what you are likely to get..........****.

same with any sale, whether its a private, trade or auction.......................you pay what you think its worth, and if you pay over the odds its your fault as nobody made you buy it.

Gonads, there are some bargains to be had. Speaking as an airgunner I have bought guns from auction for a fraction of their price seconhand. A Crosman 1322 Medallist pistol, still in original packaging, I picked it up for £36 including commission, looks like it had hardly been used, one on Gunstar with a cracked front stock (same model and same age) sold for £125! A Theoben Sirocco deluxe, slightly worn bluing, picked it up for £160 including commission, bought a gas ram hose for £25 when Theoben was still going, put some air in the ram and it was back working perfectly, same guns secondhand about £300! SMK QB78 DL .177, picked that up for a fraction under £25 inclusive, they go for £70 secondhand and it was still in the ruddy box!

Holts have auction coming up as well. They have a beretta EELL in it, guide £2000 - £3000, seems ok until you see there is a 25% buyers premium. Turns a 2k purchase into 2.5k absolute rip off. (Not the gun, the premium)

I have bought quite a few guns in local auctions some no buyers premium some at 10 or 15%. In my book it's the seller who pays the premium.
