Hi All,

Just a note to say hello from a new forum member from Kent.

I shoot over a local farmer's land for pigeons and rabbits with my trusty Air Arms s400 carbine air rifle. I've been airgunning for over 35 years and enjoyed many an hour on bird watch as a lad on my best mate's Dad's farm with an old BSA Cadet Major. Now approaching 50 faster than I care to realise, I enjoy hide building and ambushing rabbits and pigeons for the pot, much advice and many tips have been gleaned from this site over time resulting in great sessions shooting with decoys over my favourite spots.

I'll never bag shotgun numbers of birds, but at the right time, I've had very regular action from my hides and get very up close and personal with them through my scope on x10 mag out to 35 yards..!!

All the best to you all,

David.............................. :good:

Hi Belly, good to hear from you..!

I hope you're getting on fine and getting results. I 'met' the two new gamekeepers on the farm shortly after they released the pheasant poults, I'm not sure they were keen on a new boy on their patch walking about near the feeders with a gun... :/ I parted on good terms with them but have given the place a break for a couple of weeks as a lot of the rabbits were just an act of mercy on my part releasing them from their myxi suffering, still a valid job though.

I'm waiting for the artichokes to be harvested so I can get back to my favourite pigeon field..!

All the best......... :good:

lol they moaned at me for shooting near the pens a while ago and I have known them for years, never has the term poacher turned gamekeeper been more apt.

They said that they'd moaned at someone shooting near the pens.. :) When one of them saw my pcp, he oringinally thought it was a bullet gun because of the bolt action, but I think Tom had already clued them up on a new airgun man doing some vermin control up near the pens as they knew about me and wasn't too worried about my quiet gun.

When they let them out, they were everywhere...!!!

Thanks again for all your welcomes... :good:

I'm from a village in the Medway towns mate, I see you're from the warmest place in Britain.. Gravesend. I was a keen tennis and snooker player in my youth and played in the local leagues for years and years around your area.

Cool, well if you ever fancy a shooting buddy for in the field or just a round at the clays let me know.. cheers
