rimmie
Not legal mate, only .22 and .22mag in semi auto. Even though it's a smaller calibre !! Blame our stupid gun laws :(

cal 7888
i know a guy who used to have one in new zealand. it was a volquartsen, he said it was the ultimate long range crow rifle!
Dekers
I believe they are no longer made due to HMR ammo problems/cycling/safety. Someone may well prove me wrong! As already pointed out they are not legal in the UK anyway!
cal 7888
I believe they are no longer made due to HMR ammo problems/cycling/safety. Someone may well prove me wrong! As already pointed out they are not legal in the UK anyway! it wouldnt supprise me, as he told me on a few occasions he had breech explosions, which blew the mag out of the bottom and jammed the bold back in the reciever! haha Edited October 3, 2013 by cal 7888
Breastman
ACPO actually wanted to get .17 rimfire (Mach 2 and HMR) added to the legislation as a legal semi-auto calibre following the Cumbrian shootings but as no new legislation was passed there wasn't the opportunity to do it
spandit
I'm guessing in the USA they consider anything smaller than 6mm a children's gun
Dekers
I'm guessing in the USA they consider anything smaller than 6mm a children's gun They possibly do, but they are also big fans of the HMR!

fieldwanderer
It does sound good fun but when I think back to the volumes of .22lr I got through when I had a semi - I'm quite pleased they're not available here! In summer, I'm getting through about £50 worth of HMR ammunition and the same, if not more in 12g in a fortnight!! £400 a month on ammunition's more than enough for me!
