Steve

I read in one of the mags of someone putting a grub screw in one of the mag holes so when he is out at night he can tell when the mags empty. Seemed like a good idea to be if I was doing a lot of night shooting to save the dreaded empty chamber shot when you lose count.

Makes no difference mate, its just an indicator so you see when your last pellet is comin round. Its for people who cant count lol.

The air arms mag is a better design than many IMO as there is no spring to tension for it to index to the next pellet, unlike theoben, daystate etc. So as Paul says, the dot is just a marker, nothing more. :good: And yes Steve, the grub screw isn't a daft idea. I saw an article somewhere that suggested Weihrauch could have blanked one hole in their magazine. That would have stopped you indexing fresh air when you lose count :lol:

steve as bullet said, it makes no difference at all it is only there as a visual aid mate,,you can normally tell when its empty when you push the bolt forward and there is no resistance pushing it due to the chamber being empty
