Frank
My neighbour down the road had a vixen outside his house that has been keeping him a wake calling the last few nights. I got a call this afternoon to come and deal with it, i said i will try and get over soon. Typical, the wife got me to do a job and i forgot :yp: , till the ring on my mobile reminded me into action. Went a wee bit like this, 'that ****** of a fox has took my young lads pet rabbit, the dirty ***** ' So, rifle out, (good job i checked the zero this morning) open door and what greets me is not nice at all, wind and rain had started , as was promised on the weather forcast this evening. Got lamp, stuck it on rifle, batterie and off i went. I switched on the lamp, nowt, ****, the rain was bad, i would give it another 10 mins, then i will go home to the fire place. I made a call with the back of my hand and switched on the lamp, YES, apair of eyes flashed back and then, gone :o , could not see the ******. Turn off lamp and started to curse them youngens out with a shotty the other night around the place, firing at foxes too far away. I called again, on with lamp, rifle ready and their she was again, this time closer, but, she started to peg it, kept her in the scope, as she started to head for the base of the hill, i gave the all too famouse, OIH, she stood, BOOOM, thwack, YESSSSS. I paced it, 138 yds, not so bad, one dead pet bunny eating fox. Pic below. Frank.

Frank
Thanks folks. John, the poor lad was an unhappy chappie when i seen him. Apparently, he told his dad, that he is going to get a big rifle like mine when he gets older and shoot all the foxes in the world. He now wants a ferret aswell. Frank. Ah no, comment was totally unrelated to the young fella My nephew has been telling all his little friends that his uncle shoots foxes, that'll make me popular But no rifle for him, he doesn't like big bangs so he's going to catch all the foxes in Ireland with a big net no less! Frank
His going to have his job cut out then John. The things children say. A mate just phoned me to say that he just got back from lamping, (must be mad in this weather ), but, he shot 12 foxes and seen 22 Prehaps i should of stayed out a wee bit longer Frank. I think senile dementia comes with old age :yp: ................Nitro morse ,quick soaking of the stuff ,work in with some fine grade wire wool using a plastic brush for the chequering ,wash down with water and a dish cloth and leave to dry ...........If the scratch is still apparant then sand out ........re stain the wood and give a oil finish and bob's your uncle .........There that's number
