Thanks for the input regarding the teal calls, as I have been looking at getting one, but was unsure which one to get. Trusty for me is a 25 year old Olt Sonderman 66. I will probably get a teal call at some point. But it's worth remembering that many ducks respond well to the good old mallard call. I rarely hear the hen teal much (maybe it just blends in to other quacks but its fast with a short note) the drake is a "peep - peep" and can be done on any duck whistle or widgeon whistle. Cheers Just jam your tounge in to cut the note very short and abrupt make a " chirp, chirp" into the call it will come out peep, peep with the correct tone.
