Gordon R
Presumably the bargains are still there, as they are unaffected by trade sales.
steve_b_wales
Members who we believe are traders are invited to take up a trade membership with us. If you see an advert that you believe is placed by a trader or RFD, then let one of us know so we can deal with it.
aris
Have to wonder if someone selling more than 2 or three of a new item are "private sales"
Paddy Galore!
who cares? the sales section is good as it is, there's still the odd bargain aboot
aris
who cares? the sales section is good as it is, there's still the odd bargain aboot Pigeonwatch Ltd is a business and they don't charge anyone for using this site, and advertising is minimal and unobtrusive. The rules state that the sales areas are for private sales. If you are a trader you need to register as a trader. Not much to ask. I'm sure this site could monetize much more heavily by implementing contextual ads li google Adwords, or requires yearly subscription fee in lieu of seeing ads on your screen. But they don't. Running site of this size costs money.
Paddy Galore!
but i seem to remember Teal saying all is well on the good ship pigeon watch, he has sponsors in place already so funds aren't exactly tight. furthermore he's not stupid, if he noticed a few suspect sales ads and wanted to do something i'm sure he would have by now. Why bother getting trader status then? I think the message from steve_b above says otherwise. My prob is I can't sell my guns now as I've sold three in 12 months and have to pay :( fair enough tho £2.79 isn't exactly going to break the bank for something usually sold for hundreds or thousands of pounds. andrewluke
if traders are selling on here as private sellers then they are getting away with not having to give warranties on their items!, andrew
deershooter
Traders are also avoiding vat on sales by advertising here
malkiserow
good point Andrewluke. Their reputations may be worth more though. Look what Wabbitbosher did for that lad who tried it on....... on a 2 year old sale! .... Top dealer in my book
