Cawdor118
Baikel do a very reasonably priced .410 that would suit a kids frame. They are also synthetic, so any marks from being banged of objects won't be noticed as much. http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Baikal_Shotgun_Black-Synthetic_For-Sale_130109134316001
Gordon R
My grandson will be eight early next year and uses a 20 gauge Hatsan auto. I am not convinced that 410s are very much use in encouraging young clay shooters - I appreciate that others may well not share that view. Agreed. a 28 bore is a much better bet.
955i
Nice pics, seems a few of us are eager to get the young'uns going at the moment
welshwarrior
28 is brilliant or if they can't handle it a 410 with open chokes can be used but select you targets carefully for the novice, with light loads.
Ttfjlc
Is a 20 bore sxs or o/u out of the question? I only ask as I've recently discovered these magnasonic cartridges, just a little over 1000 fps. Not sure if any of you guys have tried these as in are they still to heavy for a youngster? When I said heavy I meant recoil wise
welshwarrior
We use them for coaching there is no recoil to speak of it more a weight issue with the gun. How ever they do seem to produce very tight patterns.

bakerboy
Thanks for that might broaden my search then for my 8 year old! Where are you? I could loan you a .410 single barrel, or a single barrel 28g. Both with short stocks for youngsters.
Ttfjlc
Thanks for the offer bakerboy, I live in billingborough South Lincolnshire, I might be waiting a little while longer yet as my boy keeps changing his mind!
