fieldwanderer
There's an odd few black ones on one of my permissions, I made it a challenge for myself to shoot one but in the year and a half or so I've been shooting there, I've yet to manage it! Come to think of it though, I've not seen any for quite a while now. Maybe I missed my chance

tonker
You've all probably heard this before, but years ago if we saw a black rabbit that was the first one we shot. It always seemed to preceed an outbreak of myxy, Might of been an old wives tale but it did seem to happen. Any of you found that as well? sirgoldalot
Black rabbits released carriers of the dreaded virus...got about six or seven that got through it around my area... always around the big government sites JET project and Harwell science.. some MOD Police/security shoot the rabbits with air rifles but they don't do many ..theres stacks in there which means a constant supply outside the perimeter... until another infected has been released we will be alright through the winter Edited December 9, 2013 by sirgoldalot
mbga9pgf
Saw a white lab rabbit round ours just before we got hit bad with mixy this year. Do defra do this to control the local population or something?
