Salopian
Should L/H be advised not to use semi's that eject to the right? Is it a SERIOUS safety issue?
shaun4860
No I have a couple of friends who are L/H both use autos, Never had a problem (both wear glasses when shooting)
Floating Chamber
I used a RH for thirty years before I got my LH Remy. I still have three RH Winchesters that I use occasionally.
White Lodge
It depends if you are happy getting a face load of **** every so often. I used to use a r/h semi until I got an eyeful of gunk one day and I was wearing safety specs. The other thing is that they often have a left hand cast making them more comfortable which in turn affects accuracy. I went for a left hand M2 and I haven't looked back. hodge911
I am a leftie shooter and have "NO PROBLEM AT ALL " using a r/h semi in fact in all the years that I have shot I have never once used a true left handed gun I hate the way the price gets inflated as soon as you add those two little words ..................left handed . love using my ruger 10/
12boreblue
As above, I;m a lefty never had an issue with RH semi, I just use one with an adjustable comb to cast it for my leftiness.
88b
I've had a Beretta 301 for over 30 years, never had a problem. Occasionally you see a flash as it ejects but never a problem . I'd like to try a left hated one just to see what it's like
HDAV
My uncle has always shot Left handed with Right handed guns in 12 guage semis and never wears glasses..... NOt had a problem so far but he doesn't shoot much
Westley
I have to say that using ANY auto without safety glasses can be precarious. I have had a flake of powder in my eye from an auto, when using felt wads. It was NOT a pleasant experience. It is bad enough losing my hearing to shooting without losing an eye as well !!! Edwardgiles123
Left handers are defiantly more likely to get a eye full if mud. I am a left hander myself and use a r/h semi auto all the time without eye protection and I have never been hit in the eye with mud. But it will happen I'm sure of it

Salopian
You should wear eye protection when shooting any gun ! Flintlocks, semi autos, in fact all guns may have issues with stuff such as unburnt powder , sparks, ejected cartridge cases etc catching you in the eye or face in a split second. Always better to be safe than sorry.
