ayrshiretaxidermy
I got mine this morning. On first impressions, they look great, even better when put on an old full body decoy, they look very realistic. Im gonna try get out boxing day, weather looks ok for then. Ill see how they perform in the field. Get these made for ducks, geese, crows etc.
motty
I don't think there needs to be a review on how they will work. They will bring pigeons towards a waiting gun. The only things in question are build quality and durability in a long term field test, really.
fenboy
My 20 turned up today , they do look good and I am very happy with them , so just need to find some pigeon now so I can start testing durability , but I have no doubt they will pull the pigeon as well if not better than anything else on the market . ayrshiretaxidermy
Ive tried these out twice now, tho theres hardly any pigeons around here just now, the ones that did show, came straight into the pattern. So far so good, cant wait to see how good they are when the spring drillings go in. The only downside so far is the build quality, some of the stitching is coming loose. If this can be improved upon, then I cant see them being bettered.
Teknys
I don't have any but know a man who has, went to see Andy Crow "Crowman" today and he's just received some Ringers socks via Sporting Shooter's Dom Holtram. They look the dogs danglys and certainly bring new life to some of the old deeks. Andy can't wait to try them in the field, were just waiting for the pigeons to settle into a steady feeding routine, there so skittish at the moment. Crowmans review will be in Sporting Shooter. I would imagine that anyone who usually uses dead birds at the start of the day wouldn't benefit from using the ringers, other than perhaps the weight would be a bit less. goober
How are these performing any news?Used mine on lofters last weekend with my twin flapper lofting rig and they seemed to work, birds stayed long enough for a shot with the fac air guns.Still not many birds about on my ground at the moment. Seems to be a lack of feedback on them for some reason?
fenboy
I will be giving mine their first outing tomorrow , not many birds about though so not a great test.
daz2202
Well. Got up this morning and weather was on side. Grabbed the kit and set up by 7.45. The ringers socks looked superb. Just a shame nothing to shoot. Still a few hours in the sun followed up with a fry up in the cafe made a cushty morning
THE AD
Went out this afternoon for a few hours, had five ringer decoys out. The pigeons did'nt even look at them flew straight over them and decoyed to the fuds my grandson had out. Maybe the other way round on another day who knows. THE AD
Well we tried it again today and they still did not decoy to them, don't know what it is as the decoys look really good to the human eye.
