aris
Any reason why one is better or worse than another? I usually use a snake, but I think a rod may be useful if a wad gets stuck in the barrel.

Catweazle
Shot gun You can't scrub with a pull through. You can if you stand on the string, hold the other end up in the air and work the barrels up and down it.
Dougy
You can if you stand on the string, hold the other end up in the air and work the barrels up and down it. Oh I see ! Of course how silly of me not to think of that. No I think I'll keep using my wooden cleaning rod, thanks all the same.

Catweazle
That sound almost erotic It does look a bit rude, but if that's all you've got with you..... It works well on the difficult bit just after the chambers. Oh I see ! Of course how silly of me not to think of that. No I think I'll keep using my wooden cleaning rod, thanks all the same. You can do what you like.
aris
A word of advice - don't buy the JSramsbottom wooden cleaning rod kit. Been sent two faulty/substandard ones now - and they are implying that they are ok and nothing is wrong - even though they were "checked" before sending. gazbev
Buy an aluminium one,it's a softer metal than the barrels so won't damage them and won't break when you are pushing tight wads through
