bi9johnny
If you can get a light dressing on it just to support it and then vets mate, best decision but you had already made that decision, top man . Too many people try and play quack to their dogs when they don't really know. Hope all is good Atb John
moose man
+1 ..the only call is the vet
Dominicrobed
I would give the vets a call now , done this before with our cat then had a chat about what to do and took him to the vets as soon as they open. Let us know how things go !!
wymberley
Our ESS had similar which turned out to be the nail torn out. Nasty! Before you leave the vet's see if they've got a waterproof 'boot'. With some pain relief after whatever treatment is deemed necessary they're soon up and about and this time of year you'll be continually changing dressings or at least messing about trying to keep them dry/clean without one. bicykillgaz
Your doing the right thing mate straight to the vets. I think mine get sick of me but I'd rather that than not bother and the poor dog suffer.

figgy
Had terriers most of my life and this happens. Never once needed the vet the dog always worried the claw till it sorted it. Wife's little Terrier at the moment caught his dew claw and proceeded to bite it off over the course of a day, we gave him pain killers and wife tried to bath it but after a struggle the dog won and never a problem. Hope your dogs sorted ok. Figgy
Archie-fox
well that wasnt too bad £54 bill.. said to monitor him and been given pain killers and anti biotics, got to take him back in a week.. the vet said the nail will sort itself out, and hardern up again..its loose but not snapped so he thinks hes just jarred it and brused it..
