grasshopper
Good 24hrs,although i got to bed at 02.43 this morning,up at 7am to take my mate from down south stalking.Only saw 1 Roe which wasn't surprising as the frost made it hard work to keep quiet. But he did manage this girl just before dusk.

hawkeye
I received a text yesterday asking if I could sort out a fox problem .....this particular fox had cleaned out all 21 of this guys hens the previous evening. Phone Jeff as it is a NV job and we arranged to go last night and see if we could nail the culprit... We arrived at around 9pm and got set up. Chicken Distress was played on the Foxpro but nothing turned up straight away We continued calling for around 45 mins alternating between Chicken Distress and a vixen call before eventually a fox turned up which flew into the caller then started moving away. Jeff gave a little squeak and the .22/250 roared and I could hear a solid strike .........Number 1 in the bag We continued calling and after around 15 mins with the Chicken Distress on loud a 2nd fox appeared from nowhere sniffing the previously deceased fox. The .22/250 barked again and No2 was laid next to its vulpine friend We went down to check the corpses and this is what we saw, the 2 laid side by side and the dog fox was huge Called back to see the landowner who was delighted. He also had some scales so the fox was weighed and it came in at 23 lbs The biggest fox we have ever taken so well chuffed. Jeff with his brace ............. O i see you meant the fox's and not his double chin
