Can pigeons see at night?

I do not realy know, but when I spook them out of roost when I'm night fishing the fly off confidently and tend to come back in the dark.

You do know stock doves are protected I hope ? Personally I think pigeon can see well enough to fly off when disturbed but if they could see anything like as well as in daylight then they would be nocturnal, why on earth wouldn't they ?

Yes but out of 170 shots that was not bad , things are so much harder to identify in the dark , you have to go by the wing beats unless there is a good bit of moon.
