lead shot in the north east of england

Recommended Posts

For graphiting I used a converted cement mixer at first but that went when Hawkeye and Kdubya took my big shotmaker off me. I found though that one of those orange paint stirrers that you fit in a drill was as good with the lead in a sturdy bucket. You need a normal heaped teaspoonful for about 40kg of shot scattered over the top then stirred in for a couple of minutes so that the colour of the shot changes and when you pick up a handful you get a few flecks in your hand. It goes a long way so don't over do it or you'll just make a mess.
