Breastman
I've seen bags of lead shot for sale in Bradford Stalker near Chester-le-Street before but their reloading stock seems to be quite variable so i'd ring ahead

Lord Geordie
maybe 20 kilos 7s wood be ok for the clays , oh and thats for replying Mike and I get ours from Doncaster! It works out at £1.30 per kilo washed or £1.50 washed and graphited. Graphite is dirt cheap to buy and you don't need a lot! I have just bought 50 kilo a few weeks ago for reloading. johnphilip
How much and who did you use to deliver it. Is there much steel among the lead, again thanks
Lord Geordie
We went down in person to collect it! I didn't find that much steel in there! Besides, when in a shot cup it's not going to be a problem really!
figgy
Just use a old speaker magnet to remove any steel pellets before filling your loaders hopper. Figgy

Lord Geordie
Sweet tubs the shops have finished with are great! You can do 5 kilo at a pop. Just put the shot in with your graphite and turn the tub.
sitsinhedges
For graphiting I used a converted cement mixer at first but that went when Hawkeye and Kdubya took my big shotmaker off me. I found though that one of those orange paint stirrers that you fit in a drill was as good with the lead in a sturdy bucket. You need a normal heaped teaspoonful for about 40kg of shot scattered over the top then stirred in for a couple of minutes so that the colour of the shot changes and when you pick up a handful you get a few flecks in your hand. It goes a long way so don't over do it or you'll just make a mess. Edited January 21, 2014 by sitsinhedges

I just buy bottles of it from the local locksmith or ironmonger.
hawkeye
The graphite John and i use is in a tube just like tooth paste a 2" squirt does about 50 kilo in the cement mixer. The shotmaker we bought from sitsinhedges makes most of our shot we can turn out 50 kilo in next to no time..
