defender
All of a sudden I had a hankering for a Feu Orange air freshener (70's nostalgia) so I started looking in shops and saw nothing. I asked and they reckoned it stopped because of the pin and health and safety. All there is now are poor modern versions or damned expensive NOS ones on eBay Gutted
Mungler
I loved the feu orange and you're right, you just can't hold of them any more
Lord Geordie
I remember as a Child my old man used to use these in the Simca and Austin GT 1300. I used to feel sick with the mixed smell of hot bum burning vinyl seats and the air freshner.
hedd-wyn
They still make them but the 'clip on' version without the pin. Probably smell the same but utterly pointless if you're into pins.

Probably smell the same but utterly pointless if you're into pins. I've ordered some of the new type, but I'm not expecting them to be the same, but I'll give em a go. There's even a face book group for them
Beardo
I also remember the smell of them mixed with cortina vinyl as a child, used to give me awful travel sickness

delburt0
Bye eck this is a proper blast from the past ..... I'd forgot about them they where brill when they run out of liquid you could rip the orange felt out and throw it down the vents to squeeze a bit more life out of it and use the pin for cleaning your teeth after eating a kebab before going into the nightclub
defender
I've received the new version and they were a waste of money as they smell nothing like the old ones. lees
Hard to find a good in car air freshener nowadays. Figgy The jelly belly (shaped like a jelly bean) orange one is the only one I've used that doesn't just smell of chemicals.
MartynGT4
Bloody expensive at £14 but if you really want that original smell, there's one left here: - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-Retro-Feu-Orange-Air-Freshener-Rare-Nos-/331111086153?pt=UK_Car_Interior_Accessories&hash=item4d17c23849
chrisjh
I think it tells you a lot about a person dependant on where they put the first pin p***k ( admin block rhymes with mick) nr the top "Tight" middle "Sensible" bottom "Reckless" second best aroma in the world for me is the whiff of a New Car last about 3 weeks from delivery Edited January 26, 2014 by chrisjh
