r1steele
Most 30g-32g game or pigeon loads are more than adequate for the job. To be honest I would stick with your usual pigeon cartridges as you are used to them.
dougall
They are a fine cartridge, but unless very high bird shoot normal pigeon cartridge is suitable.

Guest topshot_2k
I didn't get on with the Super Game, not sure why, used to hit birds but not kill cleanly. I use Express Supreme Game, RC Sipe for most driven game or the pigeon cartridges for walked up etc
silver pigeon 3
The Gamebore black gold in 32g 5's is my go to cartridge for pheasant, through half choke it is truly fantastic. BUT i think this not only because it is a good cartridge but they give me confidence and any cartridge that does that will improve your shooting. So in short pick any decent cartridge 30-32g 5's or 6's that you use regulary and are happy with and it will be fine.
affinity121
I like black golds, not only are they a good cartridge but they also make you ooze confidence and like people have said that helps a lot too. I have to mention the hull high pheasant extremes that I purchased when I couldn't get hold of BGs are fantastic also.

Arley
Has anyone else noticed the 32gm BlackGold case is dark Blue not Black
Alycidon
The Black Gold is a very popular shell, at least a third of my guns use them. 30-32 gr loads in 5s or 6s mainly the former. Personally I have used the Eley High Pheasant 30gr 5s for the last 5 or 6 years but would switch if price was better. All these cartridges would be pretty uncomfortable in a SBS. For a couple of beaters days the cartridges you have will be fine and have the benefit that you are used to them. A
r1steele
Has anyone else noticed the 32gm BlackGold case is dark Blue not Black I've got some black ones but someone I was shooting with yesterday was using the blue ones. Maybe recycled plastic!
Tinribz
I went flighting yesterday straight from beating had 2 good long shots and a belter coming down the wind probably 45 yds out landed miles down the field with the hull pigeons so il stick with them they maybe a tad light but they hit hard when i point it in the rite direction
Ears
I bought 500 a while back they seemed to be fine. but I have gone back on the sipe's they seem to hit harder.

Guest cookoff013
i`d be more inclined to get a decent english cartridge in 5s or 4s. but that is pretty extreme stuff. if the keeper insists on black gold, i`m afraid he`s been lead on by the advertising hype. if the birds are "out there" then using faster and faster shells will have little reward. where as going up to a bigger shotsize will pay off, as the bigger shot carries more energy for longer, to get in / through the bird at distance. but common sense tells me that all the cartridges mentioned here are probly more than enough. in some estates where they expect extreme birds, is where the 4s and 2s big loads really prove themselves, it is hard to distinguish sometimes between advertising hype and decent product. i cant for the life of me think of why he would recomend such a fast product, hardly a good chouce for a day shooting with sxs,
