JDog
There are 400 or so pigeons in this little lot. I have pushed them out of these trees away from the rape they are feeding on a number of times this week at differing times of day and they just up and go, never to return. I will get at them one day I am sure.

simon6ppc
very frustrating crop to shoot is rape mr dog i always say,you get there see hundreds if not thousands, then they all fly off and don't come back, ive done some very fast hide building set ups in the rape fields to not very good results, but saying that they should decoy soon, best of luck pal..... aga man
i feel your frustration JDog. pigeons have been on rape here for a while now and despite our best efforts our bag is struggling to make double figures. it is made worse by the fact we have so much rape in east yorks at the moment. pigeon controller
I would agree that first light would be the time but they would possible move after a couple of hours. Do you actually see them down feeding or is it a case of follow the leader , one drops in and they all follow and then spook back to the trees
JDog
They come in one big bunch, sit up for a while, then drop down in ones and twos to feed on the rape which has been quite badly damaged. When I put them off they return to their roosting wood a mile away.
Actionpigeons
I would go first light, but also I would put a rope banger in the wood they flight/roost too if you cant shoot it.
