Hello gents,

As the header says, am I lucky or what!!

I've just been given this rifle by a friend of mine. It's a CZ 452E ZKM American in .17

I don't know anything about the rifle,as I have just picked it up from his RFD.

If it is anything like as acurate as my Brno mod1 .22 it'll be the dogs

The NV is one that EVO made for me earlier, that didn't come with the gun.

Am just off out down the farm now to zero it ready for tonight.

Cheers lads,

yes I'm lucky to have friends like that.

rtayler. The grain in the stock is superb you are correct the pic doesn't do it justice.

on a down note I couldn't get any better than an inch grouping at a 100yds today, I had heard that these are super accurate, but I only had one type of ammo to play with.

I had better get a few different makes to see what the gun likes, any of you got one of these? what does yours like? I know i'll only find out about mine by doing it.

:lol::lol: :lol:

Don't get too upset, or believe everyone puts these in one hole.

First off whats wrong with 1" anyway, and after you have cleaned it and tried a bit of ammo you will probably improve that a bit.

This is my best with the HMR, but unfortunately I can't do that every day...and after seeing those I bottled out of the 5th shot :good:

It will undoubtedly do better on some days, you have to bear I mind that even slight (unnoticeable) changes in wind etc will have an effect on the HMR (1mph you cant even detect will move a bullet close to 1/2" at full value), at the end of the day its not a bench gun or a suitable calibre to go chasing one hole screamers. MOA at 100yards cannot be considered bad or even unsatisfactory, especially when using factory produced hunting ammo fired from a yet to be familiar rifle

Deckers, and kent.

You are both right of course, I Thought after posting that I was being a tad expectant.

I can thumbnail ish my homeload .222 and thought I was going to pick up a new gun and ammo and do the same.

As they say 'Pride comes before a fall' . I think I'm better than I am sometimes

Still thanks for your words of wisdom
