bunny_blaster
I've just looked out my bedroom window to find a good number of pigeon feasting on the Beech buds. I don't think it will be long now until the birds disappear again from the arable fields. I have very little drillings left to be done just Linseed and maybe some Peas but not much. JDog
Yes April and May can be a difficult time for the decoyer when the pigeons get on the buds.
Konnie
you just said you had nothing to look forward to peas and linseed are great crops in this area peas produce sport all the way through

I've had good bags over linseed in the past but the peas gave little sport last year in this area. Hopefully this year will be different... pigeon controller
My two beech trees had a few in them this morning, but on my epic drive around this weekend did not find many out in the sticks on trees yet. I think the urban trees are just a bit more forward than the country trees.
motty
I must admit, I've never noticed the pigeons disappearing at this time of year and feasting on buds etc. I've always been able to find them on rape or peas etc. I think the peas may get attacked a lot more this year (certainly around my area) as the rape is so much further forward than usual. bunny_blaster
The rape around here is well forward but I have one patch that is very low. Had a few off it yesterday morning but it went quiet so packed up. Think an afternoon session is in order...
