Just filling in my application after the farmer has giving the go ahead, am putting in for a .22lr for the rabbits and a .243 for the deer and fox's, when it comes to ammo to be possessed, how much did people put on there's application, I was think 200 .22 and 100 .243

It used to be 500 to buy 600 to keep of .22lr. Now its just 600 to posses. A "brick" of ammo is a box of individual boxes totalling 500 in number, its reasonable to get 500 at a time rather than ask the dealer to split.

.243 is a bit more contentious if your not re-loading and only have one permission a box is 20, its reasonable to keep a box back when you buy more so I suggest 120 rounds to hold this means your buying 100 a time ie.5 boxes. I have a lot more but I use it

Have you not spoken to them and explained why 500 to buy is needed? I bet they havent considered it.

trouble is it states very clearly that economy of bulk purchase is not a valid reason for the amount granted - gives them a perfect opportunity to be unhelpful! At least the 600 hold gives you the chance to buy 500 without being empty at home
