MB1
Just filling in my application after the farmer has giving the go ahead, am putting in for a .22lr for the rabbits and a .243 for the deer and fox's, when it comes to ammo to be possessed, how much did people put on there's application, I was think 200 .22 and 100 .243 Edited April 29, 2014 by MB1
Scottoj18
500 .22 easier to get a discount on a whole box. Then the 243 being more expenses 200-300 if say. that also lets you have room if you wish to start home loads.

kent
It used to be 500 to buy 600 to keep of .22lr. Now its just 600 to posses. A "brick" of ammo is a box of individual boxes totalling 500 in number, its reasonable to get 500 at a time rather than ask the dealer to split. .243 is a bit more contentious if your not re-loading and only have one permission a box is 20, its reasonable to keep a box back when you buy more so I suggest 120 rounds to hold this means your buying 100 a time ie.5 boxes. I have a lot more but I use it

There is a fair reckoning that that took advantage and were fully aware, though denying a reasonable amount ticked a box on their stats
The Mighty Prawn
Have you not spoken to them and explained why 500 to buy is needed? I bet they havent considered it. trouble is it states very clearly that economy of bulk purchase is not a valid reason for the amount granted - gives them a perfect opportunity to be unhelpful! At least the 600 hold gives you the chance to buy 500 without being empty at home

superspark
So if you have a smaller amount, say 300. Can you apply to store and hold more if your circumstances change?
Scottoj18
Mine is .22 - 600... .223 - 300. You no longer have to state "to buy" or "to hold" it's just one amount
