My collection. There are more around and about, a couple of Opinels somewhere.

The big Swiss Army knife was given to me over 40 years ago by my Dad. Think it was my 9th birthday present.

Praise The Lord, you lot just made me feel normal!

I only have 4 knives:

SAK - general use in the key draw for all to use.

EKA no8 - orange handle and my favourite.

Opinel no6 - most used knife for shooting/bunnys.

Opinel no8 - oak handle with sheath, was a present and never gets used.

:D

Part of my collection: This is my custom Bison Bushcraft knife with matching fire steel, there is about an 18 month waiting list for these at the moment. I have only shaved my arm with mine, i really should use it but am happy to abuse my F1 or Spyderco's at the moment.

I don't rate the mod knife, the one at the back is a right lump, was made by a j wrights in Sheffield but it's good for banging in tent pegs :)

Nice collection there, I also fancy getting a mod knife soon even though reviews aren't very good I still fancy one,

I also will buy a glock knife at some point to again just because I want one no practical reason.

Me 2.

I quite like the way this chap re-ground one.

If I were in a survival situation, I'd want one of these. You can chop trees down.

The J nowill mod knife is a good beater I use mine for chopping kindling mainly, it takes a hammering with ease it's proper hefty ,

on the down side the steel does seem a bit soft on mine but it sharpens very easily so no biggie

The sheath is complete rubbish thou barely holds the knife , I'll be knocking up a ruff sheath for it at some point

OK, a small selection, in reverse chronological order (latest first)...

A small blacksmith knife -

And another -

Think I've shown this one before -

Small O1 and ebony neck knife - yes, that's my Spyderco UKPK next to it. Everyone should have a UKPK (pronounced Uck-Puck, according to my kids!)

Working knife, forged from a broken crowbar

Not my greatest piece of work, but it's tough and easy to sharpen, and I don't mind, for example, opening bags of sand with it. :whistling:

Can't remember if I've shown this one here -

  • 3 weeks later...

I like knives but give me an Opinel No 6 or 7 and a Mora they will do everthing I need.

Both less than a tenner as well perfect!!!

I agree - I have both and they are fab, but having a really nice knife is like having a really nice gun - adds something special to the task.
