robbiep
Must say, I'd be pretty happy with that outcome. Glad we could all advise - and happier still that the shop were willing to do pretty well by you without any grief. +1 for them in my book

Catweazle
Well, fair play to C H Westons, that's proper customer service and would certainly encourage me to use them. Re the Hw100, I know a man who really knows his airguns ( Hi Bob ) who rates them very highly.

trickyh
Good luck with the Weihwauch m8! I nearly left a sarky comment earlier to say that you should have bought an HW100 in the 1st place! On a related note, I was making room in my cabinet for a new shottie the other day and pulled out the HW100KT that has been stored in there unfired and un-cocked for over a year (don't ask..) The pressure was still bang on the Green/Red line! Awesome tools, some say they're not pretty, but as a hunting rifle I've personally not used anything better Mine loves Accupels (they are pellet fussy tho'!) Underdog
Glad fer ya. Daystate seem to be boxing above thier weight which is just an opinion, an opinion based on casual conversations with the gaffer there! An engineering firm makes there bits...not them. They just screw them together. Blow them up. Put some pellets through them and adjust the output. Box them up and gone. None of the team I spoke to off and on had little or no interest in identifying/diagnosing problems. After working next door for a while I never ever felt compelled to buy one! Good luck. turbo33
I really enjoy using my Daystate. Not because of its name, because it has everything I wanted in FAC Air. But my experiences with Daystate are akin to your post Underdog. Also, interestingly, this is the second gunshop I've heard of this month, that doesn't want to deal with Daystate anymore due to products/customer service. 12gauge82
I remember having a very similar type of problem with a theoben years ago, had to get trading standards involved in the end, and I felt sorry for the gun shop. Glad you've got it sorted though buddy
Shaggybert
Cheers Chaps I have to say, I'm loving the HW100KS at the moment. It got off to a very good start from the moment I got it home. I took it into the garden to zero it (at 25m). As I made my final tweak of the turrets a fly landed on the target. Why not I thought, so I placed the cross hairs over the fly and pulled the trigger. Result, one vaporised fly Since then, I've bagged two pigeons, one magpie and another fly (again at 25m). That's more that I managed in the whole year and a bit with the Huntsman. I've tried it with a few pellets, and it seems to like AA Field (no surprise) and JSB Exact. But not the Daystate Li or Sovereign. I'll give the Accupels and RWS Superfield a go when I get a chance! The only slight "niggle" I have, is that something in the mechanism resonates when you tap the back of the stock (anyone got any ideas?). Buy hey, I can live with that. Shaggybert
Very interesting about the daystste problems. I'm glad you've got some sort of resolution - I'm sure the HW 100 will do you well, it's just a shame that you've had to buy a German rifle after a British manufacturer let you down. Enjoy. Yes, very true :( I always try to buy British, but I tried various AA and BSA guns in the shop, and the HW100 just seemed to fit that little bit better.
