A big thank-you.

Can I please send out a big thank-you to all those drivers who compensate for only having one headlight by using full beam all the time. :good: You somehow make my life complete.

Oh and a special mention to the lovely lady who I allowed to pass me as I was sick and tired of being dazzled by the high beam as she was following me. Your fog lights work perfectly so no worries there, I could tell because there was excellent visibilty as the fog had dispersed. TWO BLOODY DAYS AGO YOU STUPID BINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's better.

Grr I hate that too.

Misaligned headlights are the worst, these people seem completely unaware of this even though they can't possibly see what's in front of them because the headlights are POINTING UPWARDS for gods sake :good:

The thing I think is more worrying than people doing this stupid stuff, is that they don't know they are doing it. When I drive I concentrate, when they drive? God only knows.

No wonder there are so many accidents, the general public are all totally clueless.

Oh, and people who flash their full beam at you to say "thank you" for letting them do something. THANKS PAL, I'M BLIND NOW!! and it takes about 5 minutes for your eyes to adjust again.

Idiots.

Have you been watching Falwty Towers Snakebite :P:P:P

I sympathise totally. It's the same situation over here. One light out, the other pointing right at ya on dims. Like Pin says they don't even know they're at it and speeding by at 60mph it's a bit hard to let them know :good:

Another thing. 4 X 4 owners :good: Sorry but it's the height of the lights on those things totally negates any dims on even the slightest bumpy road, need sunglasses at night B)

On the way home just now I observed one of the worst bits of driving I have seen for a while.

On a stretch of A road which de-restricted there was at the head of a growing queue of traffic a Mercedes ML 4x4 (Typical) doing 20 mph. He was trying to prevent people overtaking him/her by swerving, however people were getting past slowly. Once past he would speed up to them and sick his high beams on. He/she also had rear fogs showing, it is not foggy round my way.

He was that slow a double decker bus had time when a gap opened to overtake him. When it came to my turn I sailed past, he did swerve towards me and again full beams on right up my bumper, then slowed down to 20 again.

When I got past I noticed he had one dipped light out, on one side, with both front fogs on.

What a complete and utter idiot. I have been trying to work out what this person might have been trying to achieve, but can't work it out. The car was capable of 60mph + as he caught up other drivers (and me) who had overtaken to show his displeasure.

Complete nobstick, where's plod when you need him.

A fellow cyclist Pedro, people think we are cannon fodder don't they?

Quite right to, when cyclist start paying road tax and insurance, they will be entitled to some consideration. :good:

I had bull bars fitted to my truck just for cyclists, after I read somewhere that a cyclist hit by bull bars at speeds over 20 mph, hasn't got as chance.

Chuck Norris always told me to leave no witnesses. :good:

I take it you'd been on the red Cranners, 'cos that's not like your normal amiable self

I absolutely adore Grandad out for a drive on a clear, bright, windless day (on motorways, A Roads, B roads, etc) and still won't exceed 30mph, everybody backs up behind him and then take it in turns to kill themselves trying to get past as he swerves all over the place and brakes for no apparent reason. :):lol:
