NickB65
Looking to get a new stock for the CZ and managed to get one here in PW Land and when I compared my one with the new one they were different. So i went on-line and it seems my gun has a little something added... The picture below is of the action out of the stock and you will see toward the end a round "bolt" which is attached to the action which the stock bolt goes into.... none of the actions I have seen on YOUTUBE have this and none of the stocks I have seen have the cut out that takes this "bolt". https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45880181/CZ452-mechan.jpg this is the stock with wider hole i rear to take bolt and the new stock without.... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45880181/CZ452%20-%20stock2.jpg The gun is labelled CZ 452 American 2E ZKM..... Anyone know if this is standard or some kind of "pillar" work to make the gun and stock more stable? Gun shoots great and I have no worries making the whole in the new stock so the gun fits....... just wondering.
the enigma
The action is the same as on my 452 American.
bicykillgaz
Is yours a heavy barreled version and has the barrel got a dovetail cut out of it. I've never seen the action on an American but it looks like someone has used the barrel lug off a varmint and glued it to make a rear action bolt/pillar, might be wrong as like I say I've never seen the standard American action. It has given me an idea for my varmint though.
243ack
One is for .22LR, the other .17HMR. Both different.
jam1e
Was just about to say the same, the mounting bolts on my identical CZ 452 16" Silhouettes were slightly different from .22lr to .17HMR... Jamie Mines below, you can see the mounting bolts, the screws in the trigger guard go into the stock material. No mounting on the tang, like yours.... Gunman
I have an Astra , so does the bloke down the road . His different to mine . All makers make modifications to their products over time for various reasons but keep to the same model/number series for sake of continuity . Differences may occur for instance in models built for different markets , to comply with countries legal requirements or for different calibres in this case . This is also a lesson in buying sight unseen , for example I have socks and forends for B25's that will not fit guns of some periods as the same with barrels where others will fit as if made for it . All the same make and models though . Edited June 15, 2014 by Gunman
