I find it a bit sad that people can only comment on Cheries looks, look at her CV and achievements and compare them to your own.

Talented woman. Ugly though. ;-)

Fair comment. But it was her choice to be a public figure. It is not inevitable for the spouse of the Prime Minister. Think of Dennis Thatcher, Norma Major or Mary Wilson. They took no part in their other half's public role. Cherie Blair courted the limelight assiduously and involved herself in her husband's decision making. Her work as a human rights lawyer was not incidental to his as prime minister. She used her heightened public profile as wife of the Prime Minister to further causes she believed in and she presumed to address the nation directly through press releases, interviews and appearances on television studio sofas. She had a lot to say for herself and used the attention her husband's job afforded her to get herself heard.

If you appoint yourself a public role, you are going to get public scrutiny and public criticism. And some of it will be ribald or downright hostile. That's the bargain.

+ one

We are all entitled to a voice but one constructive comment is worth a thousand negative. But as I said we are all entitled to a voice.

Blair - absolute knob rot and his party.

Tricked the country and the people and we lost so many young lives for what!

Now it's kicking off again let's send some of his loved ones out there. He must be one of the most hated men in the country and so far out of touch with the working man.
