Nest of foxes

Not been out foxing for a while for various reasons, but with a few fields cut & cleared i had to be there :ninja:

Picked up a roadkill rabbit on the way and put it under the Fox-Pro.

1st customer working his way up the field just on dusk, and when he heard the mouse squeeks on the caller he came in like a train...7 stood right behind the caller within a yard of it so no shot  he spooked but stopped about 130yds from me..& i missed. snatched at the shot, still a bit rusty :whistling:

Within 10mins he was in the next field going away from me.Bit dark now,so NV attached this time and after screaming at the top of my voice  ,he eventually stopped, turned side on and was duly dropped. :yahoo: Phew.

About 15mins later i spy another Fox ragging at the dead 1.NV attached again and a resounding thump comes back..but when the smoke clears i see a Fox standing there :hmm: reload, aim and watch it drop through the scope this time..could of sworn i'd hit it ???

curiosity got the better of me,so a wandered over to investigate and found this..just as they had fallen.

saw nothing more even though i gave it a few hours, but nice to back out after them

Went back today with the rangefinder and got a reading of 235yds from the blood back to the bales,my longest yet with the Archer Nv so very happy about that.

Thanks for reading

What caliber did you use jeff?

Did you sort out the rifle issue, was it you having 22-250 trouble or someone else..

Bought a new Sako 85 but they sent a different rifle to the 1 in the advert on gunwatch,so i sent it back and got a full refund..only trouble i was having. On the lookout for another 1 now, just can't seem to find the 1 i want.

Used the CZ 22 250 last night

Well Done, nice bit of shooting

I to have been out shooting fox's with my CZ .223 using Federal Soft Point Ammo 55gr on the cut grass fields

The fox's are looking for the mice so ideal time to get them shot

Got no photos to post on here soz

If anyone else sees the farmer cutting the grass fields you have permission to shoot on then get yourself`s there cos charlie will be there too at some time during the night for sure

Use a mouse squeak call and you should get its attention
