mossberg-operator
Thinking if buying flapper, magnet, rotary. However I feel lost with many choices. Don't know nothing about them. Where to start? Thx.
Penelope
The AA decoys flapper is good at a good price.
hawkeye
Then a couple of my floaters with a flapper then get a few shells and hide and poles they will get you going.. Leave the magnet till later they are not always needed ( magnets and rotaries are the same )
TIGHTCHOKE
Steve you will get more use from a flapper, but depending upon which one you choose, you will have to have a dead bird to mount on it! Good luck
mossberg-operator
I got basic kit from A1 decoys already, shells, good net, bag, polls. Don't have anything moving decoywise. Steve you will get more use from a flapper, but depending upon which one you choose, you will have to have a dead bird to mount on it! Good luck Thx! Which one would You recommend? Prawn
Bought a A1 decoy magnet at the CLA gamefair and its been superb! Really worked in getting the birds in, very good quality to for the money. http://www.a1decoy.co.uk/telescopic-pigeon-magnet-rotary-decoy-machine-847-p.asp

fenboy
Ideally you want both , I rarely shoot without a magnet and often have a flapper on the go too . If I could use only one though it would be the magnet,

lakeside1000
I run two AA Decoys turbo flappers £45 each including battery, and an AA Decoys rotary magnet with a pair of hypa flap decoys on it,Was £45 for the magnet including battery and £40 for the hypa flaps, the set up works very well and it didnt break the bank. highly recommended, ps dont be tempted to go for the basic flapper , its very poor and does not have a timer fitted, costs another £10, might as well go for the turbo which comes with timer connected. andrew f
or just make one from a windscreen wiper motor like I did when I broke my magnet last year and couldn't afford a new one
