mr browning on post 50 I see a trade list on the 32 gram pigeon he is 169 def tell him to ring me and forget about the pigeon label my 32 will kill pheasant patrige any thing that's

why I don't put any thing on the box have them in 5 and 6 well lets see if all this work amounts to anything thanks george

George,

I don't think it is that simple for the shop, they need a one-stop manufacture to buy in quantity all they want. They don't just want the limited three 12ga cartridges you are so far so keen to sell.

They get a mixed load eg

some pigeon carts, lot's of clay carts in different spec and loads (28gm 24gm,21gm) may be a few non-toxic and then game cartridges and all in a mix of gauges, 12ga, 20ga, 28ga, .410. and a couple of makes oh and yes in plastic and fibre wads - I expect that soon adds up to 25,000 for best discount

but it is very unlikely to be just 25,000 pigeon/game in 12ga plastic. (not sure they even stock game in plastic, would need to look or ask)

Fiocchi is one they stock and is normally the cheapest but was not the price list I got to see.

You need as several posts have suggested to publish a full list of what you can offer and why not follow what other manufacture do, get them in the shops. If your trade prices are so much better than the current offering then why would the shops not welcome you with open arms?

why not speak to Webber another trade member on the forum?

As the years go by I am shooting less and with smaller gauges which offer good savings by reloading and normally only buy cartridges when I need

replacement cases so I would not make you rich :)

I thank you for the above but this is not a market you can jump straight into it takes time we all hear of mr munjack from express they say he started in his garage or outside buildings you are correct the amount of shops who need diferent types is correct but let me tell you that . is for no other reason to save carrage on the pallet I have my carts out there all 13,000,000 but to be fair is over 4 years I am not pushing myself when I do start you will know don't worry so I am in the position where I choose what I want to make as I have said I do not label pigeon carts pheasant carts or whatever my 32 gram and I have been using them to day will kill any like for like bird on this planet any way you told me about a shopkeeper so I gave him a offer he has said why on the mixture basis but I am selling many pallets of carts on a one off deal so for the time I will stay where I am and move along at my own pace latley I have done 2 round trips and met about 15 new customers the money I have spent on pigeon watch is the first I have spent on advertising so that's it I will keep plugging away thanks all george

George,

Roman was not built in a day, so what you say makes sense for what you currently want to offer and by selling a quality product direct to individuals at a competitive price you will have limited success. But if your goal is to achieve sales across the country via retail shops then more is required.

With only so much retail space in each gun shop you may need a bigger range or a unique selling point (USP) before you are likely to displace an established existing suppliers products and occupy that limited space in shops across the country.

Some forum posts have given you excellent feedback for a USP e.g. 12ga 28gm #6 (or #6.5?) plastic and fibre cartridges at say £159 and £169 retail however only you know if this is profitable for you.

Good luck.

£169 for fibre not plastic in the shop, but it looks possible? And then you would have a USP shops would have to think hard about. Your branding looks good and the comments from forum members who have used your cartridge is also good, so you are all systems go.

Some hobby 86000 a week I am happy with a 100 reloads

Hi

Appreciate the price on 30 gram loads but lot of clay grounds rules in comps ect 24..28 gram

And I still prefer to buy 1000 I can shoot any wear over 250 I can't

You could try marketing a good clay load straight to the clay grounds

Just a thought

All the best

Of

Yet more excellent feedback from Old Farrier - most companies would spend vast somes to get this sort of customer feedback.

mr browning the machine runs 12000 per hour but we slow it down to 10 000 hope fully it runs and runs its covered with sensors the only thing I don't control is the ink and honest the times I run out is unbelievable so those with no ink on go to georges bag but to be very serious what we done last week would just amount to one good days work as long as you did not run out of things please belive me that number in the cart world is nothing nothing at all you see the big boys are all geared up for more than that that machine of mine can make 4 a second or nigh as you can that's why people say to me George is it a hobby? thanks george

George I'll be interested in some 28 g 7 shot for clays and game or even 6.5 shot. Fast and smooth is the order of the day. Hit some great long clays with the Proper Little Devils on Sunday a high quartering driven type target at around sixty yards and very good breaks.
