team tractor
I've been offered a webley 3 shot bolt action 410 for £50 but I've not seen it yet . Is it the right price? I know tidy ones fetch £100+ but if it's scruffy what's it worth bottom buck ?
fenboy
Even tatty will go £40-£
bicykillgaz
I'd get it as long as it's not pitted, anything else is cosmetic and not worth worrying about. I've never managed to find a 3 shot so definitely worth grabbing it.
welshwarrior
As above buy the barrel if it's not pitted £50 is a good the rest can be repaired.
snarepeg
Pitted or not its a steal. Don't worry about pitting to much, never seen a Webley 410 barrel warn thru yet. Have probably shot as much with pitted barrels as anything else.
hedd-wyn
The thee shots are also pretty rare and they have a 3inch chamber. The dtandard webleys have a 2 1/2 inch chamber. If its in 'ok' condition I would bite his arm off for that price
figgy
If it is pitted see how bad and get it lapped out. For the price you can't buy a half working air rifle. Figgy
bicykillgaz
i mention pitting as i bought one from a shop which looked pitted and like it needed a bloody good clean, when i pulled the boresnake through it a load of the barrel came with it and left huge craters all down the barrel yet only looked light at first. malkiserow
Most seem pitted as hardly anyone cleaned them ..... but the steel is thick
welshwarrior
A bit a light surface pitting is ok watch out if it heavier they can still get out of proof.
dodeer
The 3 shot ones had problems feeding the next cartridge in. For £50 though is a deal. 9/10 will be pitted as doubt many have ever seen a clean!
