alros01
well just been out with the escort for an hour shot some of the farmers feral pigeons and a woody.the gun worked faultlessly I've read lots of reviews about this gun not shooting 65 mil carts well I had some 30 gram 6 and the gun cycled them without any jams and the recoil is next to nothing.put 32 gram 6 fiocchi pigeon loads through it with just a tea shirt on and no sore shoulder

Davyo
Stick with the same cart and keep it clean.they are good guns for the price.however my latest one that was bought in feb 2014 had been back twice( only had 25 carts through it) on the second occasion the gun was destroyed by Edgar bros a deemed dangerous .it developed a fault by where the carrier would come back on its own when you where loading one in the chamber catching ones thumb . It then started to fire the cartridge when the carrier slammed back. I have had escorts before and never had any issues ,what we have to remember is these a cheap mass produced guns and they sell thousands so it's only a small % of guns that have issues. However I would of expected or hope that all the guns in my batch are recalled before someone has a serious accident
steve_b_wales
Its not the shot size/weight, but the cartridge length that causes most problems. I stick with 70mm.
phaedra1106
Indeed most 65mm will shoot OK (Eley First for instance) but the Hull Comp-X are around 1.5mm shorter and can try to feed 2 at a time from the mag tube. No problems with my Mk1 bought in 2007 apart from me jamming a bit of cleaning rag in the trigger mech!.
tigger got stichs
2 1/2 inch = 65mm 67.5 should not make a hatstand jam 65mm will, try some express pigeon not so very specials and they will drive you crazy with double load jams
mossy835
i have 2 pump actions, and both like the 70 mm carts, you get a good hatsan escort or a bad one,
