lakeside1000
I use fibre glass tent poles, 3 or 4 sections once put together wrap the joints with gaffer tape to stop them spinning, I made up a couple of wire wing spreaders that slide onto the poles and again are secured with a small piece of gaffer tape. I only use them occasionally and always well up wind of the pattern but in the right conditions can be very effective almost acting like sign posts to incoming birds. ShropshireSam
Never had much success with them. First bought some cheap ones and they were hopeless. Then got some Jack Pike ones which are OK but always seem to be going back and fiddling with them to stop them from twisting or blowing over. People rate Hawkeye's but they are expensive....but I would certainly vouch for not buying any that seem a bargain!
hawkeye
Just shows Sam you only get what you pay for, we are still nearly half the price of Chris Green, but if you are still in the market and what at least 2 drop me a PM..
wymberley
Just watched Hawkeye's video. Impressive. I got back earlier from playing with the Bushwear version ("Bouncers" thread on this sub-forum). Mounting the plastic variety took seconds, but I prefer to use dead birds so switch from one to the other as soon as possible. Mounting the dead bird just took a couple of seconds longer. There are probably other versions available, but as my home made ones are getting towards the end of their life, these'll do for me.
