Foxwit
As it says in the title I have a .22lr Sak mod and I took it apart the otherday and it was really fowled up. I cleaned most of the crud off but the baffle and internal body have stuff that pretty baked on. what would you use to soak it in so I can get it nice and clean again. I was thinking Paraffin? mickmep
mine was pretty baked on when I cleaned it, I used a round file to loosen the crud in the baffle side holes. mine is second hand and came with the gun, not sure how many rounds it's had through it but had quite a build up inside. still works fine. Bewsher500
i use 40gr of lead at 1050fps to keep the baffles clear that baked on stuff doesnt even come of in a US cleaner! leave it alone
steve_b_wales
009 cleaner is excellent. Just 'paint' it on and leave it soak. It may need a few applications.
merseapaul
I just sprayed with wd40 and left for a bit. A 20 bore (probably 12 as well) brass brush fits in between the baffles a treat and used same to clear inside sleeve once soaked.
moorvale55
Don't clean it, it don't need it! No need to clean a .22lr mod.
reggiegun
Don't clean it, it don't need it! No need to clean a .22lr mod. On the sak mod, to much crud and the mod will be hard to strip, as the the baffles catch on the crud built up on inside of mod.

Dekers
Overnight soak in warm water and washing up liquid may help to soften the build up, but if its bad it may take some work!
Foxwit
I used some Napier gun cleaner sprayed on and a 12 gauge brush in the end and it came up great. Even after 50 or so rounds it's full of **** in there.
peek-at
Although I haven't tried this myself, (because I clean my mod after every outing) some folk will soak it in diesel or carb cleaner from you local car parts shop...........
